WE'RE SO EXCITED FOR 2023!
Mark your calendars as you don't want to miss this year's amazing show. Our 2022 event raised $6,000 to provide scholarships for local high school girls. We're working hard to double that number this year.
As always WEAR RVA is proud to:
- feature Richmond based boutiques, designers, and businesses doing what they do best
- feature local high school girls as catwalk models (no model call or modeling experience necessary)
- raise money for The Network Of Enterprising Women's high school scholarship fund
- empower the young women of our community to feel beautiful in their own skin
- build community by bringing together local businesses to work together for a greater cause
- support & promote female owned businesses (Ladies we are stronger together!!)
This is an event you really don’t want to miss!!

Amber Kay is a photographer based in RVA. She's photographed many genres over the years but absolutely fell in love with photographing teen and high school senior girls! By some lucky chance she found herself also photographing a few fashion bloggers & boutiques in Richmond. She had been dreaming of a putting together a fashion show featuring her teen girls as models to really prove to them that ALL GIRLS are SUPERMODELS so it was the perfect pairing of fashion and teens!! WEAR RVA was born out of a dream, hard work, a want to give back to the community, and meeting a few of the right people. And let's be really honest....in particular meeting Taylor of shoptailor.com who has been instrumental in taking Amber's dream and giving it the hook up!!!
You can view more of Amber's work on her main website or seniors website below.
Taylor Pitera is Founder/CEO of e-commerce boutique, TAILOR. Born and raised in Richmond, VA, Taylor attended Virginia Commonwealth University where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Merchandising. After a brief stint working in the fashion industry, she knew she wanted to be her own boss, and TAILOR was born. Through networking she was introduced to Amber, and within a half an hour of meeting each other Amber shared her dream of hosting a charity fashion show. Taylor instantly jumped at the idea to bring to life an event benefiting young women in our community, while doing what she loves. Taylor is excited to partner with Amber to help make her dream a reality.
WEAR RVA was the brainchild of Amber Kay of Amber Kay Photography/ Amber Kay Seniors. (amberkayphoto.com / amberkayseniors.com) She wanted to create a community based event involving high school girls, fashion, and charity. The idea was pitched and Taylor of TAILOR (shoptailor.com) came on board immediately to take on the project. Together these two RVA Boss Ladies have led the way creating and planning WEAR RVA. They are delighted to bring this event to the community to help to empower girls through fashion and raise money for an amazing cause.
All proceeds from WEAR RVA go to N.E.W. - The Network of Enterprising Women based here in our fair city. N.E.W. is both a networking group for women in Richmond as well as a fully philanthropic organization that grants yearly scholarships to high school senior girls in RVA for higher education. Last year WEAR RVA was able to donate over $5,000 to N.E.W. which will result in 5 scholarships in 2019. Women supporting women and empowering the young women of our community.
Last year's show was sold old and attended by over 300 people. So many amazing businesses donated and sponsored our cause and we cannot thank them enough! If you would like to help to sponsor the event this year please send an email to wearrva@gmail.com
